Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
When Dr. Solanki was in middle school, she had to undergo orthodontic treatment to fix her smile and bite. During this time, she grew fascinated by the mechanics of moving teeth to gradually create a more beautiful smile. Her orthodontist was finally the one to encourage her to pursue a career in the wonderful field of dentistry, and the rest is history!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from John Dickinson High School, Dr. Solanki went to Fairleigh Dickinson University for her undergraduate degree. Afterward, she moved to study at New York University College of Dentistry for her dental doctorate and then completed her one-year residency at Temple University in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
Dr. Solanki has also undertaken a one-year maxi course in implantology and remains dedicated to furthering her expertise every year through continuing education, that way she can provide the highest quality of care for her patients. She is an active and proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) which allows her to stay up to date with the latest advances in the field.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
At home, Dr. Solanki spends much of her time with her husband, who is a pharmacist in the US Public Health Service, as well as their son and daughter.
